Petz R Us is a family-owned and operated express care veterinary clinic located in York, PA. We specialize in providing fast, compassionate, and affordable care for dogs and cats—no exotic pets, please. As a walk-in clinic, we’re here when your pet needs urgent attention without the long wait for an appointment.
Our services include urgent care for common conditions such as vomiting, diarrhea, injuries from dog fights, being hit by a car, ear infections, urinary tract infections (UTIs), eye infections, and upper respiratory infections (URIs).
We also offer scheduled wellness visits that include vaccinations, checkups, and preventative care to support your pet’s long-term health.
In addition to routine care, we are equipped to provide surgeries, digital x-rays, and ultrasound diagnostics when needed. Our dedicated staff works hard to make sure every pet feels safe, cared for, and treated like family.
Meet Dr.Thomas
Dr. Thomas is the primary veterinarian at Petz R Us, offering compassionate and expert care to every pet she treats.
She is a 2007 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated from Michigan State University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science where she also worked on her Master’s degree in epidemiology at the veterinary school. Dr. Thomas began her career working as a mixed practitioner, working on both large animals and small animals. She then moved onto emergency medicine where she remained until being with the urgent care in 2023.
Dr. Thomas grew up in West Virginia on her family farm with horses where her love and passion for animals began. She grew up riding horses and participating in 4-H. In her spare time she can be found spending time with her husband and sone as well as her 3 cats and 3 pugs. She also has a horse whom she rides and shows at local hunter shows. She is an avid Pittsburgh fan and enjoys reading and watching movies in her spare time
